To assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) among nursing students of college of nursing

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is the defining as endocrine disorder that cause excess secretion of male hormone androgen. It causes amenorrhea, infertility, polycystic ovaries. (PCOS) an mainly affects women between ages 18-44. 1 in 15 all over world. A quantitative evaluative approach using questionnaire on syndrome, Pre experimental one group pre-test & post-test design was used. Purposive sampling technique used to select 60 samples from nursing students college Nursing. Pre-test done followed by structured teaching programme knowledge regarding PCOS. conducted after 2 weeks programme. The tools for data collection, Part 1: Demographic variables, 2: Assessing syndrome. result revealed mean value 13.9±4.328 lesser than 19.354±6.3. effectiveness STP obtained, “t” test 8.38 which found be greater the, table (p=0.0001 < 0.01 level) at 59df. Since obtained t significant p 0.0001 level, Therefore research hypotheses (H1) accepted. inferred that, there difference and PCOS among students. study concludes very effective providing
